Identifying a “best in class” tracer for evaluating chest pain in the Emergency Department (ED). When a patient presents in the ED with chest pain or shortness of breath, physicians need timely access to the accurate data provided by noninvasive imaging of myocardial perfusion and function. The authors of this white paper explore the case for utilizing N-13 Ammonia for cardiac stress testing through the ED and describe their experience starting a laboratory for that purpose.
