Ionetix, a leader in revolutionary cyclotron technology, is seeking a full- time Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Lansing, MI. This role offers flexible hours Monday through Friday, and the opportunity to work with a growing company, made up of outstanding professionals who are all passionate about their work.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead several HR functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, compliance, benefits administration, and HR data management. The HR Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring HR operations align with organizational objectives while fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a solid understanding of HR practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to identify and retain qualified talent across the US by understanding organizational needs, building candidate relationships, and implementing strategic recruitment practices.
  • Develop job postings, source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, provide hiring recommendations, and manage the recruitment process in collaboration with management.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations to ensure a seamless on-boarding experience.
  • Create and update job descriptions to reflect evolving role requirements and organizational needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns and resolving questions promptly and professionally.
  • Support HR initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention (company newsletter, employee events, etc.) .
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address benefits-related inquiries.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce company policies and procedures, providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • Assist and support performance management systems and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Participate in HR and IT projects aimed at improving HR systems and processes to support organizational objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in HR operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field of study
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or a related role
  • Experience in recruitment and HR file management is a plus
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
