Ionetix, a leader in revolutionary cyclotron technology, is seeking a part- or full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lansing, MI. This role offers flexible hours Monday through Friday and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of seasoned professionals passionate about their work.
In this position, you will play a key role in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate financial operations while contributing to a growing company with site locations across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions to enter, verify, classify, and record accounts payable data.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Record and reconcile utilities, subscription account bills, vouchers, and other vendor accounts and expenses, prepare accounts payable aging reports, and facilitate payments.
- Review purchase orders, resolve discrepancies, and ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment.
- Identify discount opportunities and facilitate timely payments to vendors, contractors, and others.
- Calculate and report use/sales tax based on paid invoices.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, as well as the annual audit.
- Prepare 1099 forms for year-end reporting.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field OR equivalent practical work experience
- Three (3+) years of accounts payable experience, preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with accounting software systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
